Player nick: ^REDX^Ultimate
Name: Dr. Aiden Hidarion, Ph.D.
Codename:
Status: Villain
DoB/Age: 39 (Apparent age younger, 26)
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 180lbs
Powers:
* Healing Factor: Hidarion has a moderate healing factor, healing minor cuts an abrasions in moments, to more grievious injuries in a fraction of the time it would take a normal person to recover.
* Physical Mutation - Iron Manipulation: Ever since Hidarion was born, he has always had an abnormally high amount of iron in his body. Over time he learned he could manipulate this excess iron he could feel through the pores and skin of his body, forming piano wire-like tendrils as extensions of his body, much like a limb. The act of sending out one of these tendrils with a whipping of the hand can make these wires capable of easily tending flesh and sinew.
* X-Gene Mimicry: Hidarion has the ability to, after ingesting amounts of DNA, completely re-write his own X-gene, copying the x-gene of the DNA he has ingested and reverting to his own at will. This means that for the duration Hidarion loses his ability to manipulate the excess deposit of iron within his body, leaving it as only reinforcement to his body against blunt force impacts (this could also suspend his healing factor). The re-write does not have to be instant after ingestion, as his body stores the genetic information for up to five minutes after, in which nothing will happen if he decides not to use it. After shifting, Hidarion will have the powers of the mutant he's copied and his control of them varies depending on kind of ability, his knowledge of how the mutant uses it. Even with knowledge and understanding of a mutant's power, there is always the chance they have a power they don't know of yet or that he doesn't know of and even under the best of circumstances this can still be a risk to himself, much less to those around him depending on the power.
Weakness: While using his own powers, he may heal fast, but any mutant with magnetic manipulation/control or even electricity can by highly detrimental and one of his greatest weaknesses, due to the high amount of iron in his body. When trying to use other mutants' powers, this in itself is a weakness. He may know exactly how to control Mutant A's ability to manipulate fire, but not realize or know until it's too late that they also have ultra-sensitive hearing, which would render him a lot weaker until he had practice with it. As well, any inherit weaknesses one would have because of their power he also inherits (Such as a mutant who generates electricity being shorted out by water).
How do you believe this character's powers will further develop in the future? More on the fly control over unexpected powers when copying others. His potential is more based upon the other kinds of mutants he encounters and examines.
Special Skills:
* Advanced Medical Knowledge: Being a scientist and geneticist as he is, Hidarion has had many years in medical training and things like biology and chemistry. Anatomy along with pressure points and knowledge of many chemicals' reactions to a human body are well-known, giving invaluable knowledge when administering first aid and rendering harm on others alike.
* Hand-Eye Coordination: Partially honed from his work but mostly from the usage of the excess iron in his body, using his hands to thrust them like a projectile or in a whip-like fashion, Hidarion has a keen accuracy.
* Dexterity: Enhanced from practice through his work, Hidarion has always been dextrous, displaying prowess worthy of someone who's spent time performing surgeries. Not just in his handiwork, however, but he tends to show a natural fleet-footedness, elegance and grace even in his routine, but especially so publicly. He also has a mental cunning, having the knack to manage his way out of most tight situations.
* Storytelling: A true mark of someone who deals with Public Relations on a daily basis, Hidarion can usually spin a tale and, with the calm intensity in his tone and stone-faced seriousness on his face, make it quite believable. From a small excuse as to why he missed something, to large debacles, incidents that occur that require public explanation he can gloss over the facts of them all with a genuine believability.
Background/History: Not much is known about the early life of Dr. Hidarion. He didn't really appear on the radar until he started working in conjunction with one of the leading research facilities in the US in the past couple years. Since then, however, talk has been on his dedication to researching the so called "x-gene" and how it differs depending on a mutant's abilities, as well as rumors of trying to identify it before birth. Controversial to mutant activists is his advertising on various media looking for mutants willing to further his research by giving blood as well as a detailed description of what powers they possess. Though the process does not ask for the name of mutants beyond a simple nickname and not their real one, they claim it's only one step away from cataloguing and keeping tabs on any and all mutants, voluntary or not.
Dr. Hidarion's natural charisma and way with words promising that such would not happen has thus far been true, and with the general feeling of harmlessness from the less radical population, he hasn't been attacked nearly as much one would think. With all the talk of progressing science, the rumors floating around about what really lies beneath the surface is even more intriguing, if you put any worth into them.. Experiments, testing, joint.."projects" between Dr. Hidarion and a man named 'Dr. Blu,' and other crackpot theories are abound, having some ulterior motive for his research, possibly the cure for all mutants or something more...sinister.. But they ARE just rumors..
Appearance:
Hair: Matted dark brown, almost black
Eye Color: Brown
When making public appearances or statements, or while working he's always seen wearing the traditional lab coat draped about him, fitting the stereotypical role of scientist, glasses and all, though they are simply to accomplish that. His kind tone and jovial attitude seem to make even more serious incidents light-hearted, though anyone who has worked with him can attest that he is quite the taskmaster when there is work to be done.
For one who spends some much time in the lab, Dr. Hidarion looks quite fit. While not super bulky, his form does have a moderate definition and tone naturally, as if he spent time in the gym a couple times a week. Which isn't to say he doesn't, however when he doesn't, it's hard to tell that he's been slacking!
