Canons - Those characters that were made famous in the Marvel comics.
Rules for canons:
1. You may only have 3 canons per person.
2. No super-powered canons, such as Apocalypse will be accepted for players. These are generally OP-controlled characters.
3. Do not choose the most powerful form of said canon. It will NOT be accepted. We value a balanced character.
4. Canons should be played as close as possible to the comics. (i.e. Wolverine can't be a drag queen). If you are terrible at the canon, we reserve the right to take them away and wipe the slate clean.
5. Canons are not allowed for a first character. Get to know the channel and the OPs first.
6. Look to see what canons are taken before requesting them.
7. In general, it is best to play the most established form of the canon character. However, if it is a more obscure canon, exceptions may be made.
8. Research your canon! If the history and powers (no adding in random powers that they never had or only had in a freak power upgrade) aren't even correct, then we take it as a sign that you don't want to play them.
9. Telekinetics are iffy because one can't really avoid their attacks. (i.e. Emma Frost can take over minds as easily as blinking. Not allowed. Ever.)
10. Some canons are "linked" to other characters, be it other canon characters or mun-made characters. Muns are encouraged to work it out together and find if any such relations are in play.
11. Canon characters cannot be taken by *new* players. We need to see how you play and if you can be trusted with one first.
Note: You MUST submit a sample post to make certain that you can play the character decently at the time of approval.
Below is a list of canon characters that are taken or not in play.
Xavier/Professor X (NPC, Op controlled)
Jean Grey/Phoenix (Dead. Forever. The end.)
