Player nick: Mask
Name: Unknown. Goes by Lao.
Codename: None
Status: Other
DoB/Age: Unknown, presumed to be in his mid twenties.
Height: 5’7
Weight: 158 Ibs.
Powers: Lao is an Indian leopard based feral and thus has physical traits similar to such an animal. Like all ferals he has enhanced senses. The details of how powerful these senses are and also the limitation they grant Lao are shown as followed.
Sight: Like a feline, Lao’s pupils are elliptical in shape, allowing for the pupil to open wider and close tighter then on normal humans. This gives a far wider range of night vision then a human being, able to see as if it was day during dusk and if it was dusk during night. However, Lao’s mutation has been centered on night time activity and he is not as capable at shielding incoming light as he would like. Because of this, he must wear sunglasses while in bright light, or else face blurred vision.
Hearing: By far the greatest of his senses, Lao is literally able to hear a pin drop in a crowded room. Like a feline, Lao has the ability to hear over an extraordinary range, that range being around from 200Hz to 100kHz. This is quite powerful compared to humans, who can only hear up to 20kHz. In layman terms, he can hear sounds far softer and farther off then a normal human. For example, like a feline he is able to hear small animals creeping through the grass.
At an addition to the sensitivity of his hearing, Lao also has the external ear (the pinna) that all felines are born with. This receptor, made mostly of cartilage, can be turned and shaped to a certain degree by a encircling group of muscles. In short, it acts as a sort of audio scanner, enabling Lao to pin point the direction that sounds are coming from.
Smell: The weakest of Lao’s senses. Like a feline, Lao doesn’t have a particularly strong sense of smell. However, his sense of smell is still miles ahead of those without the mutation. He can track a scent that is a good hour old with ease and two hours with difficulty.
Healing factor: Like a wild animal, Lao has a slightly enhanced healing factor, able to fight off both disease and injuries better then humans.
Natural Weapons: A trait picked up from the animal his mutation is based off of, Lao’s fingernails are long and pointed and protrude from not just the top of the finger, but from two thirds of the fingertip. They are a deal more durable then human nails even with their extra thickness and can cut through skin at about the same degree as a leopard’s claws.
Lao’s canines are at least twice as long as normal and his teeth are noticeably sharper then a human beings. His jaw muscles are altered and strengthened along with his neck muscles, so that he can deliver a powerful bite, about that equal to a full grown male leopard.
*Carnivorous Biology*
Lao’s digestive system is designed for the consumption of meat, be it cooked or uncooked. His body can tolerate other foods, except for vegetables, fruit and sweets.
*Enhanced Reflexes and Agility*
Lao can run at speeds of forty miles an hour at a sprint and thirty for long distance traveling. He is able to jump ten feet from a standing position, twenty on the move and up to thirty feet with a significant running start.
He is also able to survive an extended fall thanks to his flexible spine, being able to go unscathed for four stories and able to survive a fall from six.
Weakness: Because of his enhanced senses, Lao is more vulnerable to sonic based attacks then a normal person. Also, because of his nocturnal basis, he can not go out into direct sunlight without some sort of eye protection. Without them he has blurry vision. Under significant amounts of ultraviolet light, his sight can even be damaged.
Special Skills:
*Martial Prowess*
With a combination of his feral abilities and a long history of martial training, Lao is a force to be reckoned with even for mutants with abilities far surpassing that of a feral.
Lao is a highly skilled in Zhongguo Wushu. In english the term translates to, "Chinese martial arts." Popularly known as, "Kung Fu." As of recent however, he is looking to gain knowledge in the grappling arts such as Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Lao has a very high pain resistance, likely attributed to the number of scars covering his body. Because of this, he is able to continue physical activity even with quite serious injuries. However, this does not prevent such injuries to worsen because of continued physical activity.
*Tracking*
Lao is an extraordinary hunter. He is able to stalk prey for long times on end and has even been known to spend months hunting down a single person that tries to elude him.
*Physique*
Because of his feral physique mixed with his physical training, Lao has a strength class of three hundred pounds.
Background/History: Information about Lao’s life is generally unknown, as he prefers not to talk about it. However, by studying his behavior and physical disfigurement, it is possible to guess some of it.
Lao has a slight Chinese accent and can speak the Chinese language as easily, if not better then English. He is also skilled in Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese history and has an deep knowledge of Chinese culture. Because of these factors it is highly likely that he was raised, or at least taught to speak, in China.
Lao is covered in numerous scars, some quite gruesome in nature. The sheer number of this exceeds even a wild animal. Some of these are notably quite old looking and anyone with medical training can guess that they were possibly earned as a child.
Lao has an almost unequal hate for certain aspects of organized crime, most notably human and drug trafficking. He would not hesitate to kill a pimp, or a drug dealer on sight. He also has no qualms about seriously injuring people that would indulge in both drugs and prostitution, having done so on numerous occasions. Because of this, it can be logically assumed that both trades tie into his past.
Appearance: Lao has the ears and streamline head of the average feral. He has an athletic muscular build with little fat akin to most feral.
Lao is covered in an almost uncountable amount of scars, ranging from his legs, to his abdomen and along his arms. He also has numerous tattoo's, most notably the calligraphy of the five animals predominant in Chinese martial arts running down his spine, Tiger, Crane, Leopard, Snake and Dragon.
